We watched quite a few of the matches and they were excellent.
Unfortunately being a family man, almost all of the matches I wanted to watch coincided with a small child of some sort needing some kind of attention. But still!
Our man Oli Geddes looked very at home in the black belt division, narrowly losing his first fight but nailing a sweet sweep and generally looking like a real black belt.
Except for that Koral gi, dammit. Luckily he has a special Scramble gi on the way that is 100% competition legal, unlike the 1chiban.
The Miyao brothers took first and second place in their division too, proudly rocking the Scramble patches on their lapels.
We can’t wait for the worlds!
