Scramble’s BJJ gis are tried and tested not only by the owners (at least two of us, including the founder, are black belts) but by our large stable of professional athletes, as well as our valued customers.

At Scramble, we never compromise on quality, and we feel it’s one of our strongest unique selling points. We always use 100% cotton in our adult BJJ gis, unlike some brands who weave in polyester blends. Polyester is a cheap and versatile material, but for a jiu-jitsu gi it isn’t ideal. The threads snap and create bobbles, and because polyester is hydrophobic it holds onto the body oils and bacteria that cause that lingering gym “funk.” You will notice this much less with a Scramble gi.

The weave matters too. Our gis use cotton weaves chosen to balance durability, weight and comfort, whether that’s a lighter pearl weave for everyday training and competition or a heavier, harder-wearing construction built to survive years of hard rolling and frequent washing. A good gi should feel broken in without falling apart, and start to fit you like a glove after a couple of washes, and that comes down to getting the fabric right rather than cutting corners on it.
