Scramble Hearts Activewear – designed with weightlifting, running, Crossfit, gym, nogi grappling and everyday comfort in mind.
We went back to the drawing board here at Scramble and redesigned our womenswear from the ground up, making sure we hit all the right notes – subtle complimentary contouring, squat-proof, seamless and comfortable material, and minimal branding. This set won’t look out of place in any gym or dojo setting.
We worked closely with our in-house designer, Maya:
“I am BA fashion design graduate with experience in sportswear and since I started working at Scramble I knew that I would like to help create better women’s sportswear. The first process of creating the training outfit is to look at customers’ feedback, and what women in BJJ are looking for and figure out what is a perfect training outfit for them. So after gathering my research I began to create a simple, comfortable, and modest design that I imagine can works for training, no Gi and underneath a Gi to fit the BJJ culture. I enjoy creating this collection from designing, sampling choosing fabrics/materials/colours so sample after sample we finally have our “Hearts” collection. We really want to make sure that we create the best products for our female customers, so my next plan at Scramble is to develop a better fitting Gi for women.”
“I chose a good weight of 230gsm, double sided peached finish fabric for our seamless training leggings which I think has the perfect thickness – which won’t go see through. It’s good for gym and training, and the peached finishes gives a soft, smooth feeling.
For bras and tank top I’ve chosen 210gsm smooth finish, slightly lighter weight, which is more stretchy and flexible. The bras and top comes with padding to give extra support at the same time as being comfortable to move around in.”
