The theme for this set came about from knowing that a team of Scramble athletes would be representing the brand at ADCC, the “Olympics” of Grappling, that was held in California in 2019. The squad that went over to Cali consisted of Ben Dyson, Oliver Taza, Tom Halpin and Elvira Karppinen. Elvira would go on to achieve a bronze medal.

We designed the set with California in mind, blending photography of iconic Los Angeles during Golden Hour with our customary typographic blend of English and Japanese characters.
The set is designed to match, with vale tudo shorts that sit under the looser grappling shorts to provide a tight base layer.
The set complements each other, but can also be worn individually. The black is slightly off black, to match with the golden hues of the California sunset.
